The Unofficial Start of Summer

And just like that Summer is underway. For a lot of folks that means shorter work days, casual Friday attire all week, and office picnics. Bring on the pigment dyed tees to lend  that perfect Summer vibe to anything you are up to this season.

Hanes has gotten into the pigment dyed game with their brand new line called Comfort Wash.

Port & Company has a great line of pigment dyed tee shirts and  every year they add to their color options giving you a lot of choices.

Then there is the tried and true original Comfort Colors. A slightly higher price point but the quality can’t be beat.

Between these brands you won’t have any trouble finding just the right color, style, or feel to make your next event into a wonder Summer memory.

Soundwave Audio Bottle

Yes you read that correctly. A water bottle and blue tooth speaker in one.  Being able to carry your tunes and beverage in one hand means you are a pop up party waiting to happen.

Bella + Canvas Kids

The debate rages on as to whether it is worth it to spend a lot of money on kids clothes or not. That’s why we offer a nice range of tees. Rabbit Skins and Port & Company for a mid price tee and Bella + Canvas for those of you who want to step it up a notch.

While the price points (in all honesty) are not that vastly different it is better to think in terms of the overall look you are going for. If your brand needs bright punchy colors in toddler sizes Rabbit Skins are the way to go. Youth team sports? Port & Company has got all the team colors you would ever need. If your brand is more about a “feel” or “vibe” then Bella + Canvas will fit that niche nicely. Trendy gear at a decent price point. And you can match the kids line with their adult line to give everyone an on point cohesive look.

Sparkles and Velvet

Pennant is helping you shine with these new sparkle and velvet trimmed hoodies. The hoodies are soft lightweight heather jersey with sewn on sparkles and velvet stripes on the raglan sleeves.

The sparkles are offered in white and black while the velvet comes in a variety of standard team colors.

For the price point these hoodies take the “sweatshirt” look up a notch and would work well for fund raising, spirit wear, health/fitness and corporate events with a sporty vintage theme.

Comfort Colors for 2018

Happy 2018 from Comfort Colors. New pigments, new styles, and a new cuffed jogger that seems to be the “it” trend for the new year.

All of these new items can be found on page 22-23 of the new catalog.  At a nice medium weight of 7oz, the new French Terry crew neck sweatshirt with kangaroo pocket, the scuba neck hoodie, and the cuffed jogger pant will take you from cool spring weather right through Indian Summer.

If your brand reflects a vintage or beachy feel try experimenting with a one pass color or tone on tone color when screen printing. Want to incorporate the new jogger pants into the mix? Add your embroidered logo right below the pocket. Or run a word or tag line up one of the legs. Lots of fun options for you to ruminate on while we wait for spring.

New Blends for a New Year

New catalogs, new styles, and new blends! All of our vendors are rolling out the new stuff and over the next couple of weeks we will be highlighting these items. Well some of them anyway. There is way too many for us to show you all of them but we are updating the E-Catalogs section regularly so you can stay up to date with the latest offerings.

This is for those of you that love the wicking option but hate the feel of polyester. This tee is a blend of 75% poly/13% cotton/12% rayon and at 4.4 oz perfect for use as performance gear for your team or everyday wear for your crew that works outside during the warm months. On the plus side for us it is easy to screen print  and the posicharge technology helps lock in the ink color of the print so the tees look better longer.

District Made introduces their Astro Cosmic collection. It blends 60% cotton with 40% poly to make this lightweight 4.3 ounce tee soft and breathable. The intermixing of colors steps it up a notch to add depth to the overall look.

Port Authority is introducing their Coastal Cotton Blend polos. The new polos have a  soft, laid-back look that is designed to perform. This style fights odors, wicks moisture, and resists snags and wrinkles. At 5 ounces with a blend of 50% cotton/42.5%poly/7.5 linen it is the perfect polo for the office or job site.

Because the items are new they have not all been uploaded to our website. But as always if you see something you like send a message and we will get you the information or samples that you need.

New Year New Era

We have been looking forward to this  since the fall.

This catalog introduces New Era apparel with over 40 tees, sweatshirts, polos, jerseys and jackets. Athleisure never looked so good.

And you should check out the new hat styles. We have been embroidering  a lot of the New Era Interception Hat NE1100. It is a great hat that works for sports teams or corporate apparel. The gray top keeps it neutral and the splash of color under the brim works with just about any brand colors.

Samples of New Era gear should be arriving in this month so keep a look out for them.

Creative Interlude with Color Palettes

I just turned the air conditioner on for the first time in 2017. In honor of this event and the fact that its is a beautiful day here in Portsmouth I thought I would share some summer color palettes. If your brand can change color based on season or if you are starting a brand that requires bright summery colors these palettes may strike a chord.

All of these images are via Design Seed.

This website is a great resource for anyone who loves to play with color, needs to find new color combos  or needs a break from the work day and can use a little inspiration. I can look at this website and tell Dale I am working…really working hard….

Happy First Air Conditioner Day of 2017. I think this should be come a thing.
