Trend Alert! Hats with Leather Patches

Two baseball caps with embroidered logos.

Back in the day all the classic trucker caps sported patches. And of course what is old is new again. The patch trend on hats is making a big come back.

Two stylish caps with patches, one reading 'Northridge' and the other with a leather emblem.

Leather and sublimated options add a fun new twist to hat patches.

Various leather patches with brand names and logos on a beige surface.

Collection of embroidered and sublimated fabric patches with various designs and texts.

Without sounding like a broken record (which we are going to anyway…) hats are probably the BEST form of advertising. And with these new patch options you can really stand out from the crowd.

Need some ideas on how you can use this trend with your brand, project, or upcoming event? Listed below are some ideas to help get your creative mind cranking away.

  • Design a new twist on your logo and run the hats as a “limited edition”. If people know these won’t always be available they are more likely to purchase it as soon as they see it.
  • Want a big crowd at your event? Use the same ‘limited edition” concept and let everyone know that the only way they can score the hat is to attend the event.
  • Use them as employee incentives or to mark milestones. For example you just produced your millionth widget. Get everyone a hat to mark the occasion and show your appreciation of a job well done.
  • Don’t forget family events like reunions or weddings or even milestone birthdays.

Tie Dye for Summer

Young man wearing a white long-sleeve shirt leaning against a blue wall.

Tie Dye always makes me think of summer. Well that and the 1960’s.

While Tie Die is usually  associated with the 1960’s culture it had a  resurgence back in the early 90’s with lots of neon colors. (I can attest to that. I had many a company outing shirt from that era in blindingly bright colors.) Since then it has stayed just below the radar making a fashion come back every couple of years. Because it is not typical, it can make your application of it all the more memorable. (Notice I still remember those tees from the 90’s. Wish I could still fit in to them too….)

Dyenomite (the brand pictured above) has a variety of Tie Dye gear can be just the thing for:

  • Company Outings and team building (who wouldn’t want to be on team Tie Dye!)
  • Family Reunions
  • Summer Leagues
  • Fund Raising Events

The tie dye process looks best with one color logos that are on the larger size with big details. Anything too small and intricate will get lost in the explosion of color. The paw print and heart shaped features on two of the tees works really well for school initials or event dates.

And of course if you want to try your hand at Tie Dye DIY that is cool too. For small runs we can apply CAD cut Vinyl that will make even the smallest event one to remember.

Backpacks for Commuters

Gray backpack with blue logo and leaf.

It is so much easier to work from home these days. Unless you run an embroidery shop then not so much…those machines are way to heavy to carry anywhere! But for a lot of folks bringing home the lap top is a way of life. As long as you have to (or want to) do it why not make a stylish statement with it.

A blue backpack with New York City text and emblem on the front pocket.

Black backpack with a circular logo on the front pocket.

Brown backpack with leather straps and metal buckles.

Gray backpack with APC logo and red design.

A stylish two-tone backpack with beige and black colors.

Backpacks are a highly visible  way of getting your brand out there.  More important it is a product guaranteed to be used; not tucked away in some dark spot in the far corner of a desk collecting dust.

Besides being perfect for your employee’s everyday use  they also can be used to highlight employee achievements, work anniversaries, or used as an appreciation gift for your top clients. Going on a corporate outing, retreat, or trade show? The backpacks can be stuffed with other goodies and become  another  way to make your brand seen.

Howlers and Growlers

Dark glass bottle with metal swing cap.

I am a big fan of large water bottles. ( Ask Dale…he teases me about the ginormous water bottle always close at hand on my desk.) Most of the larger water bottles (mine included) are the garden variety kind with the screw off, flip up, or slide lids. All perfectly functional if not a bit boring.

Last night while working on a project for a client I  stumbled upon these beauties with metal clasp lids.

A dark glass bottle with a metal clasp lid.

Black insulated bottle with motorcycle-themed logo.Copper-colored metal water bottle with a swing-top cap.

Clear bottle with a green leaf-like design on the label.

Not ordinary or boring at all! The Growlers hold 64 oz., the Howlers holds 32 oz, and both  sizes come in Stainless Steel as well as  Maroon, Black Matte, and Copper. The Glass bottle holds 1 Liter and while it only comes in glass it features “an airtight, hermetic clamp closure with a rubber gasket that keeps the contents fresh”. At least that is what the blurb on it says and I have no reason to doubt.

These drink ware items are not super cheap so here is where you have to think about creative ways to use them. They can be given away at client meetings where you really are looking to make a statement or a creative first impression. Want to boost company morale? These can be given out as incentives, team building or company outings gifts. They would be perfect if your company or school offers a small retail shop.

I think the glass bottle would make creative center pieces for your next company picnic or holiday party. You could even use them as wedding decor….place settings or guest favors perhaps.

All of the above items are new and we currently don’t have samples in the shop. But as always if you need us to get some just send us a comment using our new Contact Us button on the right side of the page above our social media links.

A teal shirt with bold text reading 'MORE THAN COOL' on display in a store.

We have been selling the Hanes X-Temp for a little over a year now and have had some great response from our customers.

Everyone from landscapers, to contractors, to heating/oil repairmen have said how much they like the weight of these tee’s. They are easy to print on  and embroider so we like that!

If you have been thinking about a lighter weight tee for your crew for the summer these may be just the thing.

Giveaway Ideas Part 1: Glasses, Mugs, and Water Bottles

Nike retro-inspired sportswear with modern design elements.

Drinkware is very versatile at expos and events. There are tons of styles, colors, shapes, and sizes to choose from. Some even come as a gift sets if you want to up your giveaway level. If your company has multiple logos or tag lines drinkware can be very cost effective. Instead of charging logo set ups for multiple locations most vendors offer a wrap service. This means you are given an area that wraps around the glass, mug, or water bottle. Whatever you can fit in that area is considered one logo, one location. Pretty niffty huh?

Scroll through the ideas below and see if anything floats your boat. For a full image click on the item you are interested in.
