Tie Dye for Summer

Tie Dye always makes me think of summer. Well that and the 1960’s.

While Tie Die is usually  associated with the 1960’s culture it had a  resurgence back in the early 90’s with lots of neon colors. (I can attest to that. I had many a company outing shirt from that era in blindingly bright colors.) Since then it has stayed just below the radar making a fashion come back every couple of years. Because it is not typical, it can make your application of it all the more memorable. (Notice I still remember those tees from the 90’s. Wish I could still fit in to them too….)

Dyenomite (the brand pictured above) has a variety of Tie Dye gear can be just the thing for:

  • Company Outings and team building (who wouldn’t want to be on team Tie Dye!)
  • Family Reunions
  • Summer Leagues
  • Fund Raising Events

The tie dye process looks best with one color logos that are on the larger size with big details. Anything too small and intricate will get lost in the explosion of color. The paw print and heart shaped features on two of the tees works really well for school initials or event dates.

And of course if you want to try your hand at Tie Dye DIY that is cool too. For small runs we can apply CAD cut Vinyl that will make even the smallest event one to remember.

Caring For Fleece

While flipping through one of our trade magazines Promotional Products Business, I found this side bar on how to care for fleece. Since we get asked a lot how to care for items, I thought these tips might help. My favorite tidbit is the wet rubber glove to remove pet hair. That sounds much easier than using packing tape to try to pull it off!  Happy Washing!

Ogio Tees and Tanks

Time to take your activities outdoors. June is here and that means lots of summer parties, 5K’s, and outdoor fund raisers. Ogio is here to help get your brand out there with style.

Ogio is all about the details: Stay cool wicking fabric that is ultra-breathable, flatlock seams for comfort, and reflective details so you can be seen. The thing I like best (and yes I have the ladies V-neck tee and love it) is that it is made of 100% poly jersey which gives it a nice soft feel. It doesn’t look or feel like your typical polyester pieces.

The price point is not that much higher that Sport Tek and well worth it if your brand demands a piece that looks the part.

We have samples of these in the shop so you can stop by and check them out. Click LOE320 and OE320 for more colors and other styles.

Creative Interlude with Color Palettes

I just turned the air conditioner on for the first time in 2017. In honor of this event and the fact that its is a beautiful day here in Portsmouth I thought I would share some summer color palettes. If your brand can change color based on season or if you are starting a brand that requires bright summery colors these palettes may strike a chord.

All of these images are via Design Seed.

This website is a great resource for anyone who loves to play with color, needs to find new color combos  or needs a break from the work day and can use a little inspiration. I can look at this website and tell Dale I am working…really working hard….

Happy First Air Conditioner Day of 2017. I think this should be come a thing.

Are You Ready for Summer?

I know, I know  we haven’t even gotten to Memorial Day yet. Heck we haven’t even finished the full first week of May. In embroidery, screen printing, and promotional  land though we are already helping clients plan for summer events including the 4th of July.

Dress codes relax, there are company outings and employee appreciation days to look forward to. And there are milestones to celebrate. (Celebrating 50 followers on Instagram is a  totally legit reason for new hats all around.)

Here are some of the offerings you find when you type the word Patriotic (for example) into our Next Event promotional site. Try it and see what kind of fun ideas you can come up with. Sometimes all you need is a key word set those ideas in motion.

Looking for a sure thing? Hats, tees, head or wrist bands, picnic blankets, totes, even flip flops make perfect gifts at your company event, picnic, or anniversary celebration. Get extras for giving to your favorite clients. After all without them you wouldn’t have much reason to celebrate. (Buying more usually brings the cost down anyway so just go for it!)

Still stumped? Just give us a shout and we will give you a helping hand.

Light Up Your Life

I first saw these lanterns in an email from Amazon.com (of course). They were the deal of the day. And a deal they were. I got a set of four in case of power outages (winter was at hand). Of course this meant we had no power outages over the winter and I have yet to use them. But summer is coming and you might just find me sitting in the backyard with all four of them around me….because I can.

Once I owned them I started seeing them everywhere in our world of promotional items. And what a great way to get your brand out there.  Besides power outages they have a ton of applications: in the garage for under the hood work (auto repair shops, car lots, shuttle or cab services), in the tent on that long over due camping trip (sporting goods, outdoor events, or school clubs), or yes even sitting in your back yard on warm summer nights(everybody).

These would make a great thank you gift for Real Estate agencies or Insurance companies. Plumbers, Painters, and Electricians can use them as a thank you after a completed job.  With the phone number and your logo they can be see by your clients friends and family for instant referrals.

Here is the link to the one shown above. If you want to see more options just search for lanterns in our Next Event website and see all the other goodies out there.

It is not warm enough yet to go sit in the backyard with my lanterns so I think I will just sit in my living room with them instead…because I can.
