Tie Dye for Summer

Tie Dye always makes me think of summer. Well that and the 1960’s.

While Tie Die is usually  associated with the 1960’s culture it had a  resurgence back in the early 90’s with lots of neon colors. (I can attest to that. I had many a company outing shirt from that era in blindingly bright colors.) Since then it has stayed just below the radar making a fashion come back every couple of years. Because it is not typical, it can make your application of it all the more memorable. (Notice I still remember those tees from the 90’s. Wish I could still fit in to them too….)

Dyenomite (the brand pictured above) has a variety of Tie Dye gear can be just the thing for:

  • Company Outings and team building (who wouldn’t want to be on team Tie Dye!)
  • Family Reunions
  • Summer Leagues
  • Fund Raising Events

The tie dye process looks best with one color logos that are on the larger size with big details. Anything too small and intricate will get lost in the explosion of color. The paw print and heart shaped features on two of the tees works really well for school initials or event dates.

And of course if you want to try your hand at Tie Dye DIY that is cool too. For small runs we can apply CAD cut Vinyl that will make even the smallest event one to remember.

2016 E-CATALOGS UPDATED

The snow day yesterday allowed us (and by us I mean me…) to get the E-Catalogs updated. I even added a couple of new ones. Not sure how I missed these last year but check out the 2016 Pennant and Game catalogs. Great for teams, clubs, and spirit wear.

Our featured catalog today is from Blue Generation. These guys offer a nice range of items  for the restaurant, hospitality, and service industries. But there are plenty of garments perfect for the corporate world including cardigans for the ladies and oxfords for the men. The size range on most styles is from XXS thru 5XL.  They even have Youth sizes on select items. And their color options are bold which makes it easy to find a color to match most any logo or branding requirement.

CamoHex: A Updated Camo Look

Sport Tek is introducing a new kind of pattern for their performance tees, sweatshirts and hats. It is a new twist on an old classic. The CamoHex is a  sublimated digital camo that uses small hexagons in a tonal pattern.  We gotta admit it is pretty cool.

The tee’s are 3.8 oz of 100% Polyester, go from XS-4XL and come in youth sizes. But the real question is how well do the work when you print something on them?

camo shirts 2 up

I used Sisser Cad-Cut Fashion film and did a small front logo and large back image on the ladies tee. (And yes I did that on purpose as I intend to wear it later….) The pattern shows through the orange film a bit but personally I liked the effect. It makes it look like it is more apart of the shirt and not sitting on top of it. The film went on very easy and looks quite good after a washing.

These shirts are perfect for your team, gym, or corporate team building, come in some cool colors, and have other matching items so you can make a complete outfit if you so desire.

Let us know what you think! Here is the CamoHex link  on our website where you can find them and the color options.

Marsala….take it or leave it?

Marsala is the Pantone Color of 2015. We are not terribly impressed by this years choice but here is the explanation that Pantone gives for it.

The Versatility of Marsala

  • Equally appealing to men and women, Marsala is a stirring and flavorful shade for apparel and accessories, one that encourages color creativity and experimentation
  • Flattering against many skin tones, sultry and subtle Marsala is a great go-to color for beauty, providing enormous highlight for the cheek, and a captivating pop of color for nails, shadows lips and hair.
  • Dramatic and at the same time grounding, the rich and full-bodied red-brown Marsala brings color warmth into home interiors
  • An earthy shade with a bit of sophistication, texture is the story in print and packaging. A matte finish highlights Marsala’s organic nature while adding a sheen conveys a completely different message of glamour and luxury.

If Marsala is your color you are going to have a great year. If not, well 2016 is not THAT far away. Either way whatever color gear or promo items you go with we will make sure your logo looks good on it.
